Mr. Ricky Gene Jackson, 59, of Hartwell, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia.

Born on March 21, 1966 in Ft. Myers, FL, he was the son of the late Ernest Eugene Jackson and Ruby Ozell Campbell Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Hartwell Church of God, and liked spending time in Alabama with family, and the mountains.

Survivors include his three daughters: Alicia Peoples of McCalla, AL, Brittney Carr (Brandon) of Hartwell, and Dena Cromer (Chris) of Hartwell; one brother: Glen Jackson (Karen) of Tuscumbia, AL; four sisters: Wanda Christie (Dennis) of League City, TX, Linda Greene (Bobby) of Tuscumbia, AL, Sue Pearce (Wesley) of Moore Haven, FL, and Betty Knopf (Kenny) of Hartwell; and four grandchildren: Austin Peoples, Preston Peoples, Paxton Peoples, and Ithyn Carr.

Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Lena Marie Wilson Jackson; and one brother: Charles Wayne Jackson.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Funeral services for Mr. Ricky Jackson will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Davis Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Brookwood, AL. Burial will be in Davis Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
