Obituary

Mr. Ricky Timmie Moore, 57, of Royston, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at his home following an extended illness.
Born September 20, 1960, in Franklin County, he was the son of Minnie Neal Wells Moore and the late Aubrey Dewey Moore. He was a graduate of Madison County High School. He retired, after 31 years of service, from the University of Georgia, where he worked as the foreman of the Physical Plant Mr. Moore previously served as a deacon for 22 years. He attended Liberty Baptist Church in Carnesville.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years: Anita Wallace Moore; daughters & sons-in-law: Ashley & Kirk Dawkins and Magan & Andrew Crump; brother & sister-in-law: Michael & Amanda Moore; sister & brother-in-law: Marlene & Ronald Wilson; grandchildren: Maley Dawkins, Reese Dawkins, Gage Crump, and Brody Crump; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Liberty Baptist Church in Carnesville with Rev. Mike Hardigree and Rev. Wendell Hanley officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 2:00 p.m. and until the service. At other hours the family will be at the home.
Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia is in charge of the arrangements.
