Ricky Lee Watkins, 63, of Lavonia, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022 at AnMed Health in Anderson, South Carolina.

He was born April 15, 1959, in Toccoa, to Margaret Thomas and the late Tommy L. Watkins. He lived in Franklin County his whole life. Ricky served as a member of the US Army. He was a loving father, son, and friend to all. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his father, Ricky was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children: Vickie Watkins; and a son: Christopher Shayne Watkins.

He is survived by his mother: Margaret "Polly" Thomas Floyd; brother: Brian (Nicky) Watkins; wife: Darlene Watkins; children: Stephanie (D.J.) Smith and Brandon (Rachel) Watkins; 4 grandchildren; 2 nieces; a nephew; and a great-niece.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Bohannon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
