Mr. Charles Robert Agnew, 76, of Golfview Drive, Hartwell GA, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.

Born on March 24, 1941 in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Waco Agnew and Margaret Jordan Agnew. Mr. Agnew retired from Tenneco as a Quality Control Engineer with thirty plus years of service. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hartwell and enjoyed playing golf.

Survivors include his wife: Doris Milford Agnew; two sons: Dale Agnew and his wife Gail of Athens, Alan Agnew of Anderson, SC; one brother: Gerald Agnew of Hartwell; one sister: Marie Nelson of Monroe; three grandchildren: Aspen Agnew, Claudia Agnew, Dean Agnew; and one niece: Greta Gibson Agnew also survive.Mr. Agnew was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Malloy Agnew and one sister: Anna Agnew.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Dr. Steve Albanese and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday evening.The family is at the home. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartwell, 81 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA 30643.
