Mr. Robert John "Bob" Ielmini, 75, of 1161 Shimkets Drive, Dewy Rose, GA, died Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Born April 28, 1933 in Bessemer, MI, he was the son of the late Carlos Ielmini and Angelina Balzarini Ielmini.He was retired from J.C. Penney.He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church; Knights of Columbus, A Usher and Lector. He was a member of American Legion #109 and a Master Gardener.He was also a U.S. Navy Veteran, served in the Korean War, on the USS Coral Sea and in the Mediterranean Sea.

He is survived by:Wife, Dorothy Marie Ehlinger Ielmini of the home; Son, Michael Robert Ielmini of Falls Church, VA; Daughter, Eileen Ann Ielmini of Chicago, IL; Stepsons, Lawrence Shimkets of Arnoldsville, GA, Kenneth Shimkets of Orlando, FL and Richard Shimkets of Commerce, GA; Stepdaughters, Donita Wood of Orlando, FL, Marian Smith of Cudjo Key, Fl, Peggy Grosse of Dewy Rose, GA, Evelyn Parker of Oriedo, FL, Linda Buskirk of Longwood, FL; Twenty grandchildren and one great grandchild also survives.He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.Father Terence Kane will officiate.
