Mr. Robert Garland Nash, 72, of Hartwell, GA, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2025 at AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, SC.

Born on January 26, 1953 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Albert Nash Jr. and Joyce Martin Nash. Mr. Nash was retired from the BASF Mica Mine in Hartwell, and was a member of the Liberty Hill Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Christal Kay Nash; two daughters: Marcy Fain (Jason) and Amanda Nash (David Leard), all of Hartwell; two brothers: Mike Nash (Rhonda) of Anderson, SC, and Mark Nash of Starr, SC; one sister: Tammy Nash Catron of Anderson, SC; one sister-in-law: Susan Kay; four grandchildren: Lexie Ramsey (Trent), Victoria Lowery (Caleb), Sophie Smith (Zack), Chase Dutton (Layla Cockhrill); and five great-grandchildren: Everley Ramsey, Willow Ramsey, Amelia Ramsey, Silas Lowery, and Ledger Smith. Mr. Nash is preceded in death by his parents; sister: Debra Allen; and one brother-in-law: Furman Kay.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home.

Services for Mr. Robert Nash will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Michelle May officiating. Mr. Nash wished to be cremated following the service.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Liberty Hill Methodist Church, 1492 Liberty Hill Church Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
