Mr. Robert Lee Wood, 87 of Bowersville Hwy, Bowersville died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at his home.

Born on July 16, 1927 in Canon GA, he was the son of the late Johnny Wood and Endia Jordan Wood.He worked for NVF for forty years as a general foreman where he retired. He was a member of the Lavonia Church of God.

Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth Patterson Wood; three sons: Larry Wood and his wife Kathy, Kenneth Wood and his wife Renee, Darrell Wood and his wife Kathy; one daughter: Sheila Moncrief and her husband Philip; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survives. Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Maggie Lee Wright and Mary Frances Wood.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Farmer and Rev. Adam Tripp officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
