Mr. Roger Dell Aldrich, age 64, of 5546 Bunch Standridge Road – Toccoa, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Stephens County Hospital.
Born May 16, 1943, in Franklin County, he was the son of Ruby Nell Manley Aldrich and the late Burdell Aldrich. He was a musician, singer, and song writer. Mr. Aldrich was a member of Lavonia Church of God.
He is survived by his mother; his wife; Martha Hunter Aldrich: a daughter and son-in-law; Ginger and Darian Sheriff of Lavonia: brothers; Freddie and Randall Aldrich of Toccoa: sister; Donna Moss of Lavonia: grandchildren; Andy and Stephanie Sheriff: great grandson; Hayden Andrew Sheriff: and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Aldrich was preceded in death by his father; sisters; Joan Pruitt and Jennifer Crunkleton.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. The family will be at his mother's home 13052 Apartment B Jones St. Lavonia.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Revs. Edward Hood, Ronnie Head, and Freddie Aldrich officiating. Burial will be in the Lavonia City Cemetery.
