Mr. Roger Earl Dennis, 90, of Azalea Drive, Hartwell, died Monday, February 17, 2014 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center, Lavonia.
Born on September 1, 1923 in Ithaca NY, he was the son of the late Fred Dennis and Zella Tailby Dennis.He was retired from AETNA Insurance Company, a member of the Wilbraham United Church, Wilbraham MA and a WW II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving in the Atlantic Theater.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Drew Dennis of Hartwell; a son, Jim Dennis & his wife Dixie of Hartwell; a brother, Gordon Dennis of Wyoming OH; a sister, Gladys Diemond of Ithaca NY and two grandchildren, Drew Dennis and Austin Young.
A memorial service will be held in Ithaca NY at a later date by the family.Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1925 Century Blvd, Suite 10, Atlanta GA 30345-3315.
