Mr. Roger Dale Dove, 69, of Hartwell, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Watkinsville.

Born on November 10, 1951 in Seneca, SC, he was the son of the late L.G. "Buck" Dove and Hasteen Cobb Dove. Mr. Dove was a retired machine mechanic for Springs Industries.

Survivors include his son: Evan Dove of Greenville, SC; two daughters: Valerie Maxwell of Athens, GA and Maribeth Dove of Hartwell; one brother: Byron Dove (Belinda) of Powder Springs, GA; one sister: Sandra Dove of Anderson, SC; and four grandchildren: Alana Maxwell, Aaliyah Maxwell, Rowan Betts, and Daisy Betts. Mr. Dove is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Jackie and Billy Dove

It was Roger's wish to be cremated and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date by the family.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
