Mr. Ron Meuse, age 69 of 235 George Burns Lane, Hartwell Ga., died Thursday, October 27, 2006 at his home.
Born on November 15, 1936 in Mauldin MA, he was the son of the late Francis Meuse and Genevieve Quinn Meuse.He retired with 24 years of service from the US Air Force, where he was a master instructor.He retired from Control Data Computer Corp as an instructor and retired from Lake City Community College, Lake City FL, where he was an Engineering Professor.He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Hartwell.He was a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran, where he served as a Master Sergeant in the US Air Force.
Survivors include a son: Alan Meuse of Canton GA; two daughters: Charlene Kriener of Sugar Hill GA and Jennifer Tew of Hartwell; seven grandchildren and two sister-in-laws: Mary Meuse and Teresa Meuse also survive.He was preceded in death by his wife: Christine Ann Foster Meuse and two brothers: Robert Alan Meuse and Kenneth Paul Meuse.
A funeral mass will be Tuesday, October 31 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Terence Kane officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park with full military honors.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home – Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday night.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 1009 Benson St., Hartwell, GA30643
