Mr. Ronald Franklin Lawrence, 73, of Paynes Creek Road, Hartwell, passed away January 9, 2022 at his home.

Born on May 16, 1948 in Hayward, CA, he was the son of the late Richard C. Lawrence and Mildred Cordiero. Mr. Lawrence was a trucker for Leiphart Trucking in York, Pennsylvania, and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the US Marine Corps where he served from 1967-1972 during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife: Patricia D. Lawrence; two sons: John Domer III (Angela) and Charles Domer (Stephanie), all of York, PA; three daughters: Christy Peterson (Russell) of Lancaster, PA, Cheryl Card of Florida, Heather Arnold Troy of Red Lion, PA; one sister: Sandy Clark of Cocoa, FL; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.Other times the family will be at their respective homes.

A service with military honors for Mr. Ronald Lawrence will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Webb officiating. Mr. Lawrence will be cremated following the service.

Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made to the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2973 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
