Ronald A. Prier, age 57, of Bowersville, Georgia, died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC.
Born April 6, 1960, in Batesville, Arkansas, he was the son of Charles Prier and the late Robbie Jo Lewis Prier. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard. As the founder, owner, and operator of RPAV and PathWay AV, he was on the board of directors for the NSCA, and a member of both the Stephens and Hart County Chambers of Commerce. As an involved member of his community he had a place as former chairman of the board of directors for The Northeast Georgia Saddle Club and was a board member for Tri-County College.
Ron was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where he held many stations, including Deacon, Sunday School teacher, past Brotherhood director, and chairman of the Sound Committee.
He is survived by his father; Charles A. Prier; his wife: Angela JoDee Terry Prier; his children: Paige Prier, David Prier, and Jessica Jo Prier; his brother and sister-in-law: Charles R. "Chuck" and Lynn Prier; his grandson: Oliver Prier; and his nieces: Nikki and Melissa Prier.
The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
The funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia with Rev. John Forbes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
