Dr. Ronald Stephen Stearns, Ed. D, age 84, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 23, 1939, in Traverse City, MI, the son of the late William James and Helen Ann Wolf Stearns. Dr. Stearns retired from the US Army as a Sergeant First Class. He subsequently retired from the Miami-Dade College, where he served as a tenured professor.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years: Marlene Negrin; daughters: Genna Yieve Stearns, Megan Nicole Stearns, & Patricia Stearns; siblings: Robert Stearns & Christine Stearns; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A visitation service will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2023.
