Mr. Joel Ronnie Bowers, 68, of Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at his home.

Born on August 4, 1949 in Anderson SC, he was the son of Julia Mae McLane Bowers and the late Troy Bowers.Ronnie was a carpenter and a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother: Julie Mae Bowers and a sister: Elaine Sims and her husband Mike all of Hartwell.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Webb officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.The body will be placed in the church at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.The family will receive friends after the service in the church sanctuary.Flowers optional, memorials may be made to Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 2973 Mt. Olivet Road, Hartwell GA 30643.
