Mr. Ronald L. "Ronnie" Carey, 63, of Bakers Bridge Road, Royston, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at his home.

Born on June 2, 1956 in Royston, GA, he was the son of the late Z.O. Carey and Millie Carey Carey.Mr. Carey was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife: Lynn Rowland Carey; two sons: Matthew Carey and Zack Carey, all of Bowman; one daughter: Lisa Carey of Royston; one raised in the home: Lyndsey Rowland; four brothers: Curtis Carey, Gene Carey, Darrell Carey, and Forrest Carey, all of Royston; two sisters: Twyna Carey of Royston and Vickie York of Hartwell; and three grandchildren: Landon Carey, Matt Carey, and Grayson Fowler. Mr. Carey is precede in death by his parents; and one sister: Yvette Carey.

Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks.

Ronnie will lie in state at the Strickland Funeral of Hartwell from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. Saturday for anyone to come by and pay their respects.Also anyone can leave their condolences and best wishes on Ronnie's tribute page.

Ronnie wished to be cremated and a memorial service to celebrate Ronnie's life will be held at a later date when everybody can gather with the family.
