Mr. Ronnie Edwin Scott, age 43, of Lavonia, died Thursday, July 12 2007 at Cobb Memorial Hospital.
Born January 20, 1964, in Franklin County, he was the son of Jean Chappelear Scott of Lavonia and Robert E. Scott of Anderson, SC. Mr. Scott was of the Baptist faith.
He was predeceased by his grandparents: Jim Scott and Henry Ray and Mildred Grubbs Chappelear
Survivors include his parents; a grandmother: Edna Scott of Hartwell; a son: Jonathan Carter of Toccoa; daughters: Chelsea and Caroline Scott both of Anderson, SC; sister and brother-in-law Kim Scott Floyd and Michael of Lavonia; half sister: Rhonda Scott Adams of Anderson, SC; and nieces: McKenzie, Madison, and Macie Floyd.
The family will be at the home of his aunt Mrs. Arthurlene Ethridge 99 Bradford Place, Lavonia, and will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Larry Finger and Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Ethridge, Tim Elliott, Michael Floyd, Randy Chappelear, Rusty Chappelear, Kendall Chappelear, Chris Chappelear, Russell King, and Marty Chappelear.
