Mr. Ronny D. Dyer, age 56, of Bowersville, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his home.
Born July 25, 1960 in Royston, he was the son of Judy (Wallace) Dyer Chitwood and the late Dwerd Dyer. He was raised in the home of his grandparents: the late Judge and Sallie Mae Wallace. He was a truck driver for Alliance Pipe and Supply and was a member of Price Chapel Church of God.
Mr. Dyer loved the Lord and loved playing drums; he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with the motorcycle groups Wings of Eagles and Blood Bought of which he was a member.
He is survived by his mother: Judy Chitwood; his wife: Wanda (Cochran) Dyer; daughter: Tammy Durrett & family; step-children: Shannon Hunter & family and Jason Sanders; siblings: Brian Chitwood & family and Phillip Chitwood & family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father and step-father: Charles Chitwood.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. At Mr. Dyer's request the body will be cremated after the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home.
