Obituary
Mrs. Rosa Lee Stowe Rice, 89, of Fairview Ave, Hartwell, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson SC.
Born on December 6, 1930 in Toccoa GA, she was the daughter of the late William Adger Stowe and Matilda Bell Stowe.Mrs. Rice was a homemaker and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons: Robert Stanley Rice of Hartwell, John Timothy Rice of Danielsville; two daughters: Patricia Ann Birge of Chipley, FL, and Sharon Kay Fullbright of Toccoa; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John Curtis Rice; one sister: Lillie Stowe Patterson; several half-brothers; and half-sisters.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home.Other times the family will be at the home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Lee Rice will be held Friday, February 7, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. John Silver officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
