Rosalyn Moore, age 73, of Stone Mountain, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Emory Decatur Hospital, following a sudden illness.

Born December 22, 1951, in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of Gwendolyn Higginbotham Moore and the late Randolph "Randy" Moore. Roz earned a master's degree in health and physical education from Georgia College and Georgia State University. She dedicated over 31 years of service to the Clayton County School System, where she made a lasting impression on countless students and colleagues. During college years, she worked at the Stone Mountain Park Game Ranch, carrying many of those lessons and stories with her throughout her life. After retiring from Clayton County Schools, Roz continued to serve her community as the assistant manager at the Decatur Voting Precinct and was an active member of Bicycle Ride Across Georgia (BRAG).

Roz is survived by her mother Gwendolyn Moore of Lavonia; her spouse, Sandra McCallum of Stone Mountain; her sister, Jocelyn Moore of Pinedale, WY; her nephews and niece, Scott Nolan, Dale Arrants (Gina), Davis Arrants, and Tonya Nolan Cates (Lee); and her great nephew and niece, Bryce Nolan (Tabby) and Bailee Nolan. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Moore Nolan; and nephews, Sean Nolan and Dean Arrants.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2025 at the Lavonia Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Jennifer Horton officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Roz was cremated in accordance with her request. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in Roz's memory, to Camp Twin Lakes (camptwinlakes.org).
