Mrs. Rose Marie Adams, 86, of 440 Athens Street, Hartwell, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens.
Born on May 12, 1925 in Park Ridge, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Richard Francis and Selma Sappah Francis.She attended Mt. Olivet Church of God.
Survivors include two daughters: Helen Banister and her husband, Mark, of Hartwell, and Dorothy Cromer and her late husband Jack of Hartwell; one sister: Vicki Chaisson of Orange, California; and three grandchildren: Reynold and Tara Hartmann, Joseph Cromer and Erin Sanders, and Austin Cromer; two great-grandchildren: Kimberly Hartmann and Ashlin Cromer.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Hershel Adams; two brothers, Richard Francis and John Francis; three sisters: Dorothy Ficeto, Virginia McAbee, and Helen Francis.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. J.B. Kitts officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday.The family is at the home.
