Obituary

Rose Lee Brandhoff, age 96, of Demorest, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, just eighteen minutes shy of her 97th birthday. Born on November 1, 1928, in Aberdeen, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Hill Brandhoff.

Rose was a proud 1950 graduate of the Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing and dedicated over thirty years of her life to caring for newborns at Maryland General Hospital. Beyond her professional life, she was an enthusiastic supporter of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, passionately following her favorite teams throughout the years.

In 2016, Rose relocated to Georgia to be closer to her niece, Kathleen Molnar, and her husband, Jack, who lovingly cared for her. She cherished being involved in family gatherings and found solace in her Methodist faith, which was a cornerstone of her life.

Rose was the last remaining member of her generation in the Brandhoff family. She was predeceased by her brothers, Carl Humphries and Edward Brandhoff, and her sisters, Jane Monahan, Elizabeth Cregar, and Elnora Penniman. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to honor Rose's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Lavonia City Burgess Cemetery. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the funeral home chapel.
