Mrs. Rosie Lee Williams Dickerson Thompson, 95, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.
Born on August 1, 1927 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas "T.F." Williams and Essie Crawford Williams Worley. Mrs. Thompson was a former seamstress and a CNA for Hartwell Health & Rehab. She was also a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son: James "Jimmy" Dickerson (Parney) of Hartwell; two daughters: Barbara Ann Brown and Carolyn Sanders (Billy), all of Hartwell; seven grandchildren: Bradley Sanders (Tamme), Jason Sanders (Christi), Tracey DuPont (Keith Fowler), Chad Dickerson (Bonnie), Andy Brady, Jeff McCoy, and Nolan Dickerson; twenty-one great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and a sister-in-law: Patsy Williams. Mrs. Thompson is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands: Joe France Dickerson and Jim F. Thompson; a grandchild: Billy Joe Brown and her brother: Clayton Williams.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Other times the family will be at the home of Carolyn and Billy Sanders, 3982 Bio Church Rd, Hartwell.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Thompson will be held Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Mike Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
