Obituary
Mr. Roy Thomas Goodwin, age 62, of Canon, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at his home.
Born March 26, 1947, in Franklin County, he was the son of the late Tom Ed & Mary Frances (Williams) Goodwin. He worked in the pulpwood industry. Mr. Goodwin was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Jenny Sue Goodwin; sons: Ray Goodwin & Jesse Goodwin of Canon; daughter: Sara Goodwin Jordan of Canon; brothers: Roger Goodwin of Bowersville & Jim Ed Goodwin of Royston; sisters Kathy Sanders of Royston and Betty LeRoy & Mary Brown of Canon; and nine grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Double Branches Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dorsey Holmes & Rev. Gary Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
