Roy R. Lunsford, age 77, of Martin, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023, at his home.

Born October 30, 1946, in Avery, MS, he was the son of the late Irene Lunsford. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Mr. Lunsford retired from Milliken Sibley Mills as an operator.

He is survived by his wife: Andrea Ruth (Eskew) Lunsford; sons: David Lunsford (Cindy), Michael Lunsford (Rose) and Eddie Rice (Misty); daughters: Robin Wilson (Shane), Tara Rice and Amber Burkett (Jamie); grandchildren: Cassie Denton, Eric Nunziato, Anna Kinder, Larry Sosbe, Maya Fernandez, Ryan McCollum, Caitlin Wilson, Brady McCollum, Christian Rice, Ariana Rice, Brandt Hardman, Sam Hardman, Ben Hardman, Kooper Burkett, and Lillian Burkett; and 13 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother: Don Lunsford and sister: Mae Jewel Andaya.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at the Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens – North with military honors provided by the US Air Force Honor Guard.
