Mr. Roy Lon Teasley, 84, of 91 Cedar St., Hartwell, died Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born on December 10, 1922 in Hart County GA, he was the son of the late Veal A. Teasley and Ina L. Greenway Teasley.He was a retired Farmer and a former stockman for Winn-Dixie and night watchman for Hartwell Company.Mr. Teasley was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Lamplighter Sunday School Class and the Solid Rock Seniors.

Survivors include his loving wife: Libby Jean Norris Teasley of the home; three brothers: Hugh W. Teasley of Greenwood SC, V. Allen Teasley and Dean H. Teasley both of Hartwell; a sister: Betty T. Strickland of Hartwell; a special brother-in-law: Floyd Norris of Hartwell and a large number of nieces and nephews that dearly adored him.Mr. Teasley was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: John S. Teasley, Owen M. Teasley, Billy F. Teasley, Elmer B. Teasley and Paul H. Teasley.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Terry Meeks, Rev. Bill Davidson and Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
