Mr. Roy R. Temples, 62, of 504 Lee St., Royston GA, died Tuesday, May 20 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born on May 12, 1946 in Hart Co. GA, he was the son of the late James Walter "Bud" Temples and Ione Broome Temples.He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons: Douglas Temples, Brian Temples and Chris Temples all of Royston; a daughter: Michelle McDaniel of Toccoa; five brothers: Don Temples of Lawrenceville, Robert Temples of Pace FL, James Temples of Lilburn, Ray Temples of Anderson SC and Kenneth Temples of Hartwell; six sisters: Gladys Bond of Lavonia, Jan Miller of Nashville FL, Lou Jones of Spartanburg SC, Dorothy Wicker and Ruth Dickerson both of Hartwell and Linda Judy of Greenwood SC; two grandchildren: Tiffany Temples and Jeremy Temples also survive.Mr. Temples was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Martha Morrison.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Dulaney officiating.Mr. Temples will be cremated after services.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to defray funeral expenses.
