Mr. Roy Edward Todd, 88, of 2763 Martin Road, Bowman GA, died Friday, March 30 at Cobb Memorial Hospital, Royston.
Born on January 18, 1924, he was the son of the late Sam E. Todd and Lois Reynolds Todd.He was retired from the Maintenance Department of Monroe Auto Equipment Company, a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church and was a WW II US Army Air Corps veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Cherry Fulbright of Bowman and Cathy Hanson of Royston; a sister, Archie Segars of Martin; three grandchildren, Janie Haselden, Michael Hanson Jr. and Tonya F. Bonner; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa Hanson, Kailey Bonner, Anna Catherine Haselden and James Edward Haselden also survive.Mr. Todd was preceded in death by his wife Alice Mize Todd; two brothers, Jessie Joe Todd and Sam Boyd Todd and six sisters, Thelma Fleming Mehr, Ruth Dickerson, Hytha Osborne, Jewell Moore, Newell Adams Jordan and Lucille House.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Westbrook officiating.Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday night.The family is at the home of Cherry Fulbright, 3141 Hwy 172, Bowman GA 30624.
