Mr. Roy White, age 85, of Royston, died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Brown Memorial Convalescent Center.
Born March 3, 1928, in Toccoa, he was the son of Elec and Cora (Balleu) White. Mr. White was a security guard for Lavonia Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Junie (Nalley) White.
He is survived by daughters: Tammy Gentry of Carnesville, Sandra Towe of Westminster, SC, & Sue Hopkins of Martin; sons: Billy Singleton of Long Creek, SC, Roger Singleton of Westminster, SC, James White of Anderson, SC & Alex White of Martin; sisters: Betty Howard, Evelyn Griffin and Mae Griffin all of FL; 20 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, & 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
