Mrs. Ruby Nell (Manley) Aldrich, age 97, of Lavonia, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
Born June 27, 1920, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late John and Artie (Smith) Manley. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Aldrich was a member of the Lavonia Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Burdell Aldrich; sons: Freddie Aldrich, and Roger Aldrich; daughters: Joan Pruitt and Jennifer Crunkleton; brothers: William "Buck" Manley and John Manley, Jr.; sisters: Lois Sanders and Dura Crowe Blackwell; and grandson: Keith Pruitt.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Donna Aldrich of Toccoa; daughter: Donna Aldrich Moss of Lavonia; daughters-in-law: Ida Aldrich and Martha Aldrich; sister: Polly Whitworth; grandchildren: Dwain Pruitt, David Pruitt, Ginger Sheriff, Brian & Chris Aldrich, Jason Aldrich, Bridgett Aldrich, Taylor Fitzgerald, Chastity Bellew, Alana Hines, Ali Butler, Zach Crunkleton, and Cody Crunkleton; 37 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Hood and Rev. Jessie Eleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Lavonia City ~ Burgess Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to defray funeral expenses.
