Mrs. Ruby Brown White, 91, of 1496 N. Forest Avenue, Hartwell, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at her home.
Born on August 6, 1920 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joe E. Brown and Annie White Brown.He was a retired seamstress for the Hartwell Garment Company and a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church, WMU, and Young at Heart.
Survivors include one daughter: Joy B. White of Hartwell.She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett W. White; her parents; two brothers: James Brown and Clyde Brown; five sisters: Beatrice B. Alewine, Rosa Lee B. Alewine, Eunice B. Alewine, Jessie Mae Ankerich, and Mattie Ruth McLane.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer officiating.Burial will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday.The family is at the home.
