Obituary
Mr. Rudolph Martin Jr., 67, of 1153 Coldwater Creek Road, Dewy Rose, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on December 24, 1944 in Greenville SC, he was the son of the late Rudolph Martin Sr. and Ethel Jenkins Martin.He attended the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church and was a U S Marine Corps veteran, where he served in the Vietnam War and received three Purple Hearts.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Ravilas Martin of the home; four sons, Randy Martin and his wife Jackie of Easley, James Martin and his wife Lori of Duncan, Rudolph Martin III of Greer SC and Spencer Martin of Dewy Rose; a sister, Linda Turner of Easley SC also survives.Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Griffin.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 7 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with military honors.
