Rusty Wade Jordan, age 34, of Canon, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 doing what he loved.
Born June 9, 1986, he was the son of Lisa Marie (Brown) Jordan and the late Randall Wade Jordan. He was a machinist with Stovall Machine Products, but his passion was dirt track racing and his family; especially racing with his boys. Driving the # 5, Rusty was an accomplished race car driver, including being the 2020 Modified Street Division Champion, along with numerous career wins throughout his life.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife: Brandy Nicole (Craft) Jordan; children: Hunter Carey and Case Carey; and many friends and members of his racing family.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: James Reed Jordan; and maternal grandparents: Wendell & Dorothy Brown.
The graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at New Franklin Christian Church Cemetery. Everyone is invited to wear their favorite racing clothes or overalls, bring a lawn chair, and join the family to celebrate Rusty's life.
Rusty will lie in state at the funeral home Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. for those wishing to pay their respects. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, in a limited capacity, Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The family requests that those attending the visitation wear masks, limit your time, and follow social distancing guidelines. At other hours the family will be at the home.
