Mrs. Ruth Elizabeth Doker Bailey, 88, of 1253 North Forest Ave, Hartwell, died Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Hart Care Center.
Born on April 27, 1923 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Doker and Annie Foesek Doker.She was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth A. Harris of Hartwell; two sons, Bob Bailey and Tommy Bailey both of Hartwell; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred W. Bailey; a daughter, Margaret Sue Bailey; five brothers, Leo Doker, Sam Doker, Phillip Doker, Joe T. Doker and Claude Doker and three sisters, Annie Temples, Mary Partain and Julia Fitzpatrick.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Rafael Castano officiating.Burial will follow in the Northview Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday night, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.The family is at their respective homes.
