Mrs. Ruth Ellen Brown Dean, age 84, of 8347 GA Hwy 17, Bowersville, GA, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at her home.
Born April 4, 1926 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Dewey C. Brown and Leona Ethridge Brown.She was a homemaker and a member of Bowersville Baptist Church.
She is survived by:Sons, Jeffrey Dean of Blue Ridge, GA and Mark Dean and his wife Jan of Bowersville, GA; Daughter, Janis Stanger of Bowersville, GA and Five grandchildren, Kendall Dean, Leah Dean, Krista Fulghum, Michael Dean & Mary Beth Dean and one great grandchild, Taylor Dean.She is preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Talmadge Brown Dean and a Brother, Alton Brown.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bowersville Baptist Church.Burial will be in the Bowersville City Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m. Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Bowersville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 26, Bowersville, GA30516.
