Mrs. Ruth Cleveland Rice, 82, of 712 Speedway Rd, Hartwell, died Friday, December 24, 2010 at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born on September 13, 1928 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Cleveland and Ethel Isom Cleveland.She was a retired seamstress for the Hartwell Garment Company and a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Elaine Lack and Becky Hackett both of Hartwell; three brothers, Edward Cleveland and Wayne Cleveland both of Hartwell and David Cleveland of Royston; a sister, Wilma Temples of Hartwell; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Rice and two brothers, Ronnie Cleveland and Ray Cleveland.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ray Black and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
