Ruth Tate's Obituary
Mrs. Ruth Virginia (Johnson) Tate, age 99, of 261 Fairview Avenue, Hartwell, formerly of Grogan Street, Lavonia, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Hart Care Center.
Born March 14, 1909, in Monroe County, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Ira Johnson and Anna Virginia (Self) Johnson. She was a paralegal and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Thomas "Bill" Tate; and son: William Thomas "Tommy" Tate, Jr.
She is survived by friends Aline Robolin of Winterville and Rev. Joe and Carol Renfro of Lavonia.
