Ruthann Stephanie Kardas Burroughs, age 85, of Carnesville, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Born July 16, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Joseph Kardas and Caroline Addine Dunbar. She retired as an executive secretary for State Farm Insurance Company in Deland, FL. She was of the Southern Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband: Robert Dale Burroughs; daughter: Christina Burroughs; son: Bryant M. Burroughs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Addine Wilson.

Mrs. Burroughs request was to be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time. The family will plan a service at a later date.
