Marcel "Sally" Cooper, age 74, formerly of Lavonia, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Born August 25, 1948, in Royston, she was the daughter of the late James Holley and Viola Aldrich. Before retirement she worked as a waitress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Larry Cooper, son: Tom Hammons; daughter: Viola Echols; brothers: Billy Powell, James Powell & Gus Powell; and a sister: Frances Bratcher.

She is survived by her sons: Eddie Hammons & Michael Hammons (Saundra); 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Lavonia City-Burgess Cemetery with Rev. Hubert Carter officiating
