Obituary

Mrs. Sallye Coleman Gay Frady, 68, of Hartwell, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Born on July 21, 1953 in Milledgeville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Bolling Gay III and Elizabeth Coleman Gay. Mrs. Frady received her master's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She worked with Developmentally Disabled and Child & Adolescent Programs at Central State Hospital and later with the Community Child & Adolescent program.Furthermore, she continued to have a successful career in a private practice.She retired as a Social Worker from the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Mental Health Division in 2004. She was also a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, where she was a former member of the Stephen Ministry, cooking team, and various other committees.She was an animal lover, a Georgia Bulldog fan, and loved to travel with her husband and the church Sojourner's group.

Survivors include her husband: Richard A. Frady; a daughter: Allison Nissen and her husband Thor; and two grandchildren: Graham Hudson Nissen and Reid Allen Nissen. Other survivors include a sister-in-law: Sandy Young Gay; a brother-in-law: Dr. Bob Frady; a sister-n-law: Deborah Brown (Paul); nieces and nephews: Caity Eskew (Nic), Lindsey Hinojosa (Roly), Matthew Frady, Lindsay Thomas and Jessica Furst (John) and eight loving and loved great nieces and nephews.Mrs. Frady is preceded in death by her parents and her brother: Thomas Bolling Gay IV

Funeral services for Mrs. Sallye Frady will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating with a reception following the service in the church fellowship hall.Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell GA 30643.
