Mrs. Sandra Sue Hainey Foster, age 68, of Atlanta, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the home of her daughter, Mary Ann Brothers with her children, David Nicholson and Mary Ann & Vince Brothersand friend Bobby Joe by her side.
Born July 19, 1942, in Gainesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas George and Mildred Christine Buffington Hainey. She worked in health care during her working career and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Mrs. Foster is preceded in death by her parents a baby daughter: Angel; and a brother: Anthony Thomas Hainey.
She is survived by loving son: David Richard Nicholson of Atlanta; daughter & son-in-law: Mary Ann & Vince Brothers of Martin; son: & daughter-in-law: Donnie & Shiela Nicholson of Newborn ; grandchildren: Wesley & Nick(Nikki) Cox, Heather & Dillon Brothers, Crystal (Matt) Pilkington, Cory, Bradley, Brianna, & Dawson Nicholson; 4 great grandchildren: Hailey, Hunter Cox, Aaron, Landon Pilkington and numerous cousins and life long friend Paul Wright and best friend Mae Whiteside, and family and friends. GONE FROM OUR SIGHT BUT NOT OUR HEARTS.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lavonia City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At other hours the family will be at the home of her daughter & son-in-law Mary Ann & Vince Brothers.
