Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" (Ivester) Taylor, age 68, of Lavonia, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Ty Cobb Regional Medical Center.
Born February 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Ralph & Christine (Caudell) Ivester. Mrs. Taylor worked at Sibley Mill and was a waitress in the local area. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband: Howard Taylor of the home; daughters: Patty Smith and Rhonda Taylor both of Lavonia; son: Randy Taylor of Lavonia; sisters: Mildred Wilbanks of Cornelia, Susan Miller of Demorest & Barbara Whitlow of Gainesville; brother: John Ivester of Tucker; grandchildren: Jessica Sosebee, Chris Thomas, Mark Kloes, Joshua Taylor, Melissa Martin, Tasha Martin & Lacie Martin; great granddaughter raise in the home: Adriana Sosebee and 10 other great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens – North. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday beginning at 12:00 p.m.
