Mrs. Sandral Kay "Dral" Burgess Floyd, 60, of Spencer Lane, Hartwell, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at her home.
Born on February 26, 1956 in Athens, GA, she was the daughter of the late James C. Burgess and Addie Wallace Burgess. Mrs. Floyd was an administrative assistant for Russails Custom Cabinets.She was a former employee of Delta Airlines and worked for the Toronto Blue Jays during spring training each year.
Survivors include her husband: Russell E. "Russ" Floyd; one sister: Judy Akins (Neal) of Toccoa; sister-in-law: Sandy Carpenter (Don) of Hartwell; two half-sisters: Barbara Jean Belew of Acworth, Avy Sanders of Charleston, SC; one half-brother: Fred Hood of Greenville, SC; several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her parents; and one half-brother: John Hood.
A memorial service celebrating Dral's life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Carter Tucker officiating.
The family is at the home.
