Obituary
Miss Sara Nell Banister, age 85, of Bowman Hwy., Hartwell, GA, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Hart Care Center.
Born May 27, 1924 in Hart County, GA, she was the daughter of the late J.T. Banister and Elva Skelton Banister.She started working with AC Skelton Insurance Agency and retired from Skelton & Morris Associates and Hartwell Housing Authority.She was a member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by:Nephews and their wives, Mark and Helen Banister, Wayne and Melody Banister and Richard and Anita Banister; Niece and her husband, Laura and Ronnie Milford and several great nieces and nephews.She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.She was preceded in death by: Parents, Brothers, Furman and Fred Banister and a sister, Hazel Banister.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Nancy Hart Memorial Park.Rev. Troy Ayers and Rev Jim Winn will officiate.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home ~ Hartwell Chapel where the family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at their respective homes.Flowers are optional; Memorials may be made to Hartwell First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Howell Street, Hartwell, GA30643.
