Mrs. Sara O'Barr Crittenden, 83, of Hickory Crossing Road, Hartwell, passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at Hart Care Center.

Born on June 27, 1933 in Hartwell GA, she was the daughter of the late Denver B. O'Barr and Zell Bowers O'Barr.Mrs. Crittenden was retired from Southern Bell and was a member of the Pioneers of Southern Bell.She was also a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her brother: Lawrence O'Barr and his wife Helen of Hartwell and several nieces and nephews.Mrs. Crittenden was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Ben N. Crittenden; her brother: Denver O'Barr Jr. and her sister: Doris O. Allen.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. John Silver officiating.Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning.The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
