Mrs. Sara Corrine (Beasley) Jackson, age 84, of Lavonia, died Thursday, July 10 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
She was born July 24, 1923 in Franklin County, daughter of the late Fletcher A. and Bertie Pilgrim Beasley. She was a graduate of Lavonia High School. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a former member of the Lavonia Garden Club. She was a member of the Lavonia First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband: Ernest P. Jackson, Jr.
She is survived by daughter Pamelia J. Riley of Braselton; sons: Ernest P. Jackson, III of Royston, Timothy W. Jackson of Coleman, AL, and Jerry A. Jackson of Granite Falls, NC; sister: Dolores Lafitte of Thunderbolt, GA; brother: Wayne Beasley of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Lavonia City Cemetery with Rev. Richard Bielski officiating. Interment will follow.
