Mrs. Sara Millie Parks White, 80, of 2209 Ridge Road, Hartwell, GA, died Thursday, February 15, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Greenville, SC.
Born April 28, 1926 in Hart County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Arch L. Parks and Ruth Margaret Herndon Parks.She was a homemaker.She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church, Ruth Sunday School Class, and a former musician in the church growing up.
Her survivors include:Husband, Charles G. White, Sr. of the home; Sons, Col Charles G. White, Jr. U.S.A.F. retired, and his wife, Gail of Hartwell, GA, and John Marshall White and his wife Gloria of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; Daughters, Elizabeth Anne Martinez and her husband Dave of Dacula, GA and Ruth E. Thornton and her husband Tripp of Dacula, GA; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Rev. Carter Tucker will officiate.Burial will be in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends Friday night from 6 – 8:00 p.m.The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to Sardis Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1219, Hartwell, GA30643.
