Mrs. Sarah Elnora Manning Lane, 79, of Stillwood Dr., Hartwell, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2017 at Stephens County Hospital, Toccoa, GA.

Born on June 8, 1937 in Randolph, VT, she was the daughter of the late Chester Manning and Elnora Roecker Manning. Mrs. Lane was retired from Hamilton Standard Mfg. as an inspector. She was a US Navy veteran.

Survivors include two sons: Paul E. Lane II (Linda) of Ocala, FL, Kirby E. Lane (Elizabeth) of Ewa Beach, HI; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five brothers: Wade, Jack, Dawn, Chester, and Fletcher Manning. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Paul Edward Lane; one daughter: Laura L. Drumheller; two brothers: Jerry Manning, Dwayne Manning and one sister: Theda Manning.

A private memorial service celebrating Sarah's life will be held at a later date by the family.

The Strickland Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Hartwell is in charge of all arrangements.
