Mrs. Sarah Lou (Baty) Morgan, age 80, of Martin, died Friday, January 3, 2014, at her residence.
Born August 5, 1933, in Martin, she was the daughter of the late R. E. and Nora Mae (Burgess) Baty. She retired from Travelers Insurance. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Albert Morgan. She is survived by her family: Lisa Roberts, Brad and Renee Roberts, Vickie and Mike Hardy, Rickey and Melanie Roberts, and Josh Roberts; "grand" children: Phoenix, Journey, and Lenox Roberts; and her faithful canine companion: Luck E. Buck.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Lavonia Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Stacey and Rev. Bruce Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter.
