Mrs. Sarah Haygood Welborn Williford, 88, of 94 Cade Street, Hartwell, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Born on September 17, 1924 in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Russell Oliver Haygood and Annie Maude Segars Haygood.She was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church and was very active in the Sunday school at Hartwell Health Care Center.

Survivors include her husband, Harry L. Williford; one daughter, Margaret Welborn Turpin and her husband Lee of Statham, GA; four sons: Howard Floyd Welborn of Hartwell, Charles David Welborn and his wife Chris of Hartwell, James Ronald Welborn and his wife Carol of Bowman, Larry Dale Welborn of Toccoa; one son-in-law, Keith Osborne of Hartwell; one sister, Ruth Chatham of Carnesville; four brothers: Jerry Haygood and Donald Haygood both of Hartwell, Johnny Haygood and Frank Haygood both of Toccoa; thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive.Mrs. Williford was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rufus Orr Welborn; a daughter, Shirley Ann Welborn Osborne; and five brothers: Bob Haygood, Kenneth Haygood, Billy Haygood, Lam Haygood, and James Jackson Haygood.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Mr. Joshua Osborne and Mr. Lee Turpin officiating.Burial will be in the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.

The body is at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday.The family is at the home of Amanda Hill, 44 Highland Ridge Drive, Hartwell, GA30643.
